    Maddie Beller

Maddie is the Maryland Engagement Coordinator at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. She has a passion for all things food not just cooking and eating, but access, security, and sovereignty. Her experiences studying oenology in South Africa, managing a kitchen in DC, getting dirty in the garden, and working in non-profit environmental sustainability and food security have given her the opportunity to cultivate a meaningful relationship with food and agriculture systems. In her free time, if Maddie isn’t out exploring trails or in the garden, she is likely trying a new recipe or seeing live music.

    Isabella Bruno

Isabella Bruno is the Agriculture Equity Project Coordinator at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Since receiving her degree in Agricultural Science and Technology at the University of Maryland, she has been exploring all things agriculture in the state. Her most formative experience, however, came from working at an urban farm in Baltimore where she learned the crucial role urban agriculture plays in addressing various challenges faced by cities and urban populations. Isabella is dedicated to ensuring that farms and farmers that have been historically overlooked, receive the same attention that large-scale farms receive, whether that be through outreach, technical assistance, or funding opportunities. Without equity in farming, little progress can be made in creating a resilient and just food system.
